We’re so excited in Year 6! This week saw us welcoming December – we can’t wait to put up our Christmas trees!
Next week we will be enjoying our last week of swimming, where we are all looking forward to a week of fun and inflatables in the pool. We also enjoyed an afternoon of rewards for all the children who had completed all their homework for this half term! In English, we have been writing a diary entry from the point of view of a Jewish child experiencing the event of Kristallnacht (The Night of The Broken Glass). The Year 6 staff have been so impressed with the children’s independent ideas and vocabulary. In Maths, pupils we have been continuing our learning on fractions – Miss Coldwell’s favourite. More specifically, we have been deepening our knowledge on finding fractions of amounts; some even found tricky amounts like 6/7 of 8.4 Despite it being so close to Christmas, the children have been working incredibly hard across all subjects in the curriculum. A big pat on the back to everyone! Comments are closed.
