After School Clubs
Summer Term 2 2021 |
Our Clubs offering to comply with CV-19 restrictions

Children selected for team matches, competitions and tournaments are chosen by the member of staff running that club and they are selected on a performance, behaviour and commitment to the club basis.
We strive to do our best to organise friendly matches against other schools in the borough to enable all children the opportunity to represent the school, wear the school’s team clothing and, above all, enjoy playing sport. |
Here at East Tilbury Primary School we offer a range of sporting activities for children in KS1 and KS2 for all to succeed in sport. This includes inclusive and competitive Inter-House competitions for KS1 and KS2- in total 8 per year, league and cup matches for all year 5 and 6 teams including Netball, boys/ girls Football, mixed Rugby, mixed Rounders and boys/ girls Cricket. We compete in Inter School competitions run by the Thurrock SSP, who host a range of competitive competitions and tournaments where we select a team of children to represent our school. We have in the past taken A, B and C teams to compete but can only do this where it is possible. Thurrock SSP also host a SEND and inclusive multi-skills festivals in which we also take part each year.
Clubs enable children to build upon their social skills, improve their skills and performance and enjoy themselves. Clubs run every lunch and after school where children can either sign up or attend a trial held by the member of staff running that club. Trials are held for year 5 and 6 'team' clubs only such as Netball, Football Cricket and Rounders, and where children do not make the after school ' team' club there is always an opportunity for children to attend a lunchtime club where they can also be selected for matches against other schools. We aim to have around 25- 30 children attending clubs to comply with children to adult ratio numbers. However attending an after school 'team' club does not guarantee a position in all team matches or competitions. |
