This half term we will be looking at people who help us and transport. We are looking at paramedics, doctors, dentists and vets, focussing on how they help people or animals in our community and what they need to help them. We will then look at the police force, the fire brigade and the coast guards. During this half term we will also look at space and aeroplanes.
We will be looking at the books ‘Mrs Armitage on Wheels’ by Quentin Blake, ‘The Hundred Decker Bus’ by Mike Smith and then just before Christmas we will read ‘Norman the slug who saved Christmas’ by Sue Hendra. As a class we will be discussing how we can express our feelings appropriately and considering the feelings of others. In maths we will be looking at numbers 1-5 and representations of these numbers. We will then look at one more and one less than the given numbers. We will look at shapes and how we can sort them or use these to make pictures and positional language and whether toys are on top, below underneath or next to each other. In PE we are focussing on movement and working together to move around in different ways, moving on to some gymnastic skills. Comments are closed.
