Outdoor Learning blog from Mrs Smith
We are very grateful to our parents for the contributions from our sponsored spell, our generous PFA and help from Persimmon towards the new area at the back of our school field. We now have an amazing outdoor learning classroom and space to extend our curriculum and the opportunities available to our children. It is a very exciting time for us at ETP as each class will be taken out to the area for lessons that will enhance the children’s learning in a practical way. This area will also give our children the time and space to reflect, improve health, wellbeing and resilience. Deepening the children's connection to nature will help to provide and promote an inclusive and engaging curriculum. It has been proven that being outdoors boosts self esteem around children's learning which feeds back into the classroom. We are all very excited about this new opportunity and where it might lead us. Comments are closed.
