​In year one, they have been learning about the 4 countries in the UK and the surrounding seas. They used a map to identify where they are within the United Kingdom.

​In year two, they have been learning about Space. They learnt about the History of Space Science and the astronauts that went into Space. They looked at the Space race between Russia and America. They learnt about Sputnik, the first satellite that went into Space. 

Year 3 have been learning about Brazil. They found out information about the physical and human features that they would find if they visited Brazil. They then wrote postcards pretending to be in Brazil, sharing the cultural life that they would see if they visited there.

​Year 4 have been learning about Natural Disasters. They found out information about earthquakes and volcanoes. They labelled the different parts and then learnt about why they happen. 

In year 5, they have been learning about the Maya period. They were looking at what signalled the end for the Maya Civilisation. They looked at the different events and factors that would have cause this. They then created a News report of what they think happened, using all the knowledge the learnt over their Maya lessons. 

​Year 6 have been learning about the Ancient Greeks. Children had to research about Parthenon on iPads. Then using the information they found out, they made their own; making sure it was structurally sound.
