“A fitting theme for what has been a turbulent time for all of us, ‘Growth’ links with multiple areas across science, technology, engineering and maths. Whether you decide to explore plant growth in your window box or discuss the impacts of economic growth on our society, or even consider your own personal growth over the last twelve months, ‘Growth’ as a theme offers a huge range of topics to delve into as part of your British Science Week 2022 activities.” As usual, British Science Week (BSW) will be jam-packed with STEM activities and lessons, however this year we wanted to do a whole school project, which we started this week. To celebrate the theme of ‘Growth’ we will be completing a whole school planting project. Each class will have their own spring bulbs to plant in their classrooms, take care of, and monitor the growth of from now until their bloom in Spring (which will hopefully align with BSW). Each year group has followed instructions to plant their bulb into a pot and have assigned weekly monitors to ensure it has enough water.
We look forward to watching them grow throughout this term and are eager to see which class will bloom first! Comments are closed.
