This half-term in 1GC we have been developing our creativity! During our English lessons we have been focussing on the story of ‘The Queen’s Hat’ by Steve Antony in which The Queen’s hat flies all around London. The children then created their own versions of the story using exciting adjectives and interesting similes!
In art we have been exploring sculpting using paper, including rolling, folding and scrunching techniques to create 3D trees but the highlight of the term so far has been creating puppets during our DT Enrichment Day!
We worked hard to design our characters, explored different materials and embellishments and considered the best joining techniques before creating our masterpieces!
