This week, Reception be commemorated Remembrance Day by making poppies cutting, painting, and printing. Last half term, year 2 were learning about the 7 continents or the world and the 5 oceans. They then looked and compared Africa, Antarctica, and East Tilbury. Year three have been learning about the Stone Age. They have looked at timelines on the different periods from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. They used sources to find out more about a Stone age Village. Year four have been learning about the Anglo Saxons. They looked at understanding life during Anglo Saxon times. They linked Geography through naming the Seven Kingdoms of the Anglo Saxons in Britain. They looked at a range of artefacts and investigated the settlements by using Primary and Secondary sources. They made brooches and shields that they used/wore during those time. Year 5 have been learning about the Vikings. They have created timelines to show the different events over the Viking period. They also looked at the materials, clothing, priests, boats, the way of living, their diet and money used in the Viking era. Comments are closed.
