Another busy week in Y6! We have continued to rehearse our Leavers Performance: I’m an 11 Year Old, Get Me Out of Here! The acting is coming along nicely and the Y6 pupils are great at singing! On Saturday 24th June, 9 of our Y6 pupils took part in the OCAT Swimming Gala at Basildon Sporting Village. East Tilbury were the only primary school from the Trust to attend the gala, so swam against Y7 pupils; our pupils competed really well, placing in the top three in all the races, well done Y6! Swimming lessons remain one of the highlights of the week, all of the pupils are continuing to either improve their stroke skills and stamina swimming lengths or widths or are further improving their confidence in the water, with several pupils feeling confident enough this week to swim complete widths without putting their feet down.
Y6 are on transition days at their new secondary schools during the week beginning 3rd June. We are certain they will all have a great week and thoroughly enjoy meeting and making new friends, meeting their new teachers and learning the layout of their new schools. We look forward to hearing all about the activities they have experienced. Comments are closed.
