​Year One
In English this week, we have been reading the book ‘Starry eyed Stan’. The whole of year 1 received a special letter from Stan inviting them to attend his music concert. The children wanted to help Stan to design a poster inviting their friends to the concert, so we first learnt to identified  some of the key features found in a poster. Then we discussed the use of  persuasive adjectives in our posters to  excite and draw the attention of our friends to this amazing event. Lastly, we created our posters using colourful backgrounds

​In Art, we have explored and experimented with oil, poster, powder and water colour paints. We spoke about their uses and their different properties. Then we explained what paint we preferred to use and why.
