Throughout our school, everyone is continuing to work hard in maths lessons using the White Rose Maths scheme of learning, which is rooted in research on the teaching for mastery approach, providing a comprehensive progression for pupils throughout their time in primary school.
Last week, Y6 sat their SATs exams, allowing them to show everyone how good they are at maths, putting to use everything they have learnt since they were in Reception and demonstrating how ready they all are for their move into secondary school. Y4 have been working really hard to prepare for the national Multiplication Tables Check (MTC), which this year takes place between Monday 3rd June and Friday 14th June. The MTC is an online check consisting of 25 times table questions. Every pupil will be able to answer 3 practice questions before taking the actual check. They then have 6 seconds to answer each question. On average, the check should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. Comments are closed.
