We have had some exciting history lessons across the school this half term.
Year 1 have been learning about kings and queens. This week, they acted out the coronation in groups and had learnt 10 fun facts about King Charles. Year 2 have been learning the space race. They have enjoyed finding out about which country won the space race and the astronauts that took part in the missions. Year 3 have been learning about the Romans and Julius Caesar. They used the Chromebook to carry out research about his life and made a double-page spread to display the information they found. Year 5 have explored the 4 periods of the Maya civilisation and created a timeline displaying the approximate 2000 years of their existence. They worked collaboratively to create 4m project including images and facts that occurred in each period. Pupils conducted their own research on devices and summarised input from the lesson to form their timelines. In Year 6, they are exploring the Ancient Greeks across the curriculum. In History specifically, they are looking at the key eras of Ancient Greece and how the era has defined the modern western world. They are looking forward to exploring renowned mythology and Greek Gods and Goddesses on Enrichment Day this coming Friday. Comments are closed.
