5SA Blog

This week in 5SA, we have enjoyed creating Christmas cards for our stall at the Christmas Fair. We were divided into stations and together showing solidarity, we all contributed to making beautiful cards which will be sold at our Fair. We are hoping that you will be able to come along and admire the hard work the whole year group have put in. Additionally in Science, we enjoyed learning about the phases of the moon and explored various facts about the moon. They created a moon dial that shows the various phases and hopefully they showed these to you at home. In English, we started writing our poems independently after having planned our WW1 animal, setting descriptions and rhyming couplets last week. They were able to self-assess their work after responding to feedback and shared their work with each other. In Maths, we explored short multiplication (2 or 3  digits by 1 digit ) and long multiplication (2 digits by 2 digits) using columnar methods and area models.  ​
