Hello 3VP parents and carers!
We hope you’ve had a great week so far! Here are some important updates and exciting achievements to celebrate this week: P.E. Days Reminder Our P.E. lessons are every Tuesday and Friday, so please make sure to bring your children have their P.E. kits on those days. A huge well done to everyone who has consistently brought their kits—your dedication is fantastic! Let’s keep the momentum going and make the most of our active days. 5 Time a Week Readers We’re thrilled to see an increase in our dedicated readers! Last week, we celebrated 11 children who read 5 times a week, and an incredible 2 children (Caiya and James) who read 6 times a week! We’re aiming even higher this week and hope to give a big round of applause to even more 5 Time a Week Readers. Keep up the great reading, everyone! Assemblies Are Back! We’re excited to announce the return of assemblies this year, held on Mondays and Fridays. Our Friday assembly is extra special as it’s our celebration assembly, where we recognise our Stars of the Week, 5 Time a Week Readers, and Dojo Champions. It's a wonderful way to honour the hard work and achievements of our amazing children. We’re looking forward to another fantastic week filled with learning, growth, and celebration! English This half term, we have been exploring The Stone Age boy narrative in English and have started to create our own alternative versions; we have also been using this stimulus to create our own dance routines in P.E on Fridays. Ark Maths Mastery Scheme We are excited to announce that we have started a new scheme in maths called Ark Maths Mastery. For the last few weeks, we’ve been focusing on place value and discovering lots of interesting number facts. The children have been working hard, and we’re already seeing great progress. We can’t wait to dive into more topics as the term continues! Topic Lessons: The Stone Age In our topic lessons, we’ve been learning all about the Stone Age. We have been excited to discover new and fascinating facts about this ancient period of history. Both our art and history lessons have been focused on the Stone Age, allowing the children to get creative while deepening their understanding of this incredible time. Science: Rocks, Fossils, and Mary Anning In science, we’ve been exploring the world of rocks and fossils, learning about their formation and importance. We’ve also researched the life and discoveries of the famous palaeontologist Mary Anning, who has inspired us all with her incredible work in uncovering fossils. The children have been fascinated by this topic and have enjoyed investigating rocks up close! Comments are closed.
